Keri Hilson Says She Refuses To Date Rappers [AUDIO]

Keri Hilson has a message for for the hip-hop world: “Rappers need not apply!” In an interview with EurWeb, the R&B singer made it clear that she has no intention of getting her pretty girl rock on with any male celebrities. Hilson states:

“I would never say “never,” but I want something real. I want real love. I don’t want this red carpet Hollywood love. I feel like they’re easily penetrated, and that’s something that I don’t want. I don’t want publicity. I want love.”

While we certainly understand Miss Keri’s concerns, is she being a bit harsh in her assessment of celebrity men? Sound off in the comment section.

The Beyonce vs. Keri Hilson beef is still going strong. Back in 2008, Keri reportedly threw shade on the “Turnin’ Me On” remix when she called Bey out on her inability to write her own lyrics; she even used a line from the hit “Irreplaceable.”

“She can sing, but need to move it ‘to the (left)’ / She need to go have some babies / She needs to sit down, she fadin’… / Go ‘head and tell them folks how long I been writing your songs / I been puttin you on, just check the credits ho.”

Three years later, Keri still shows no love for Bey.

This weekend, when on the red carpet at the 2011 Soul Train Awards, Keri was being interviewed by a magazine that asked her to hold up their latest issue. Unfortunately for them, Beyonce and her hubby Jay-Z were on the cover and Keri simply handed the mag back and denied their request. Ha!

The 3rd Annual WEEN Awards went down last night, celebrating the women in entertainment who empower others worldwide.

Awarded at the event were Keri Hilson, Estelle, Editor of Billboard magazine Danyel Smith and TV and radio personality Egypt Sherrod for their proven commitment.

Mashonda and Melyssa Ford were also in the building. presented the awards to the ladies.

Keri Hilson was attacked on stage earlier this month while performing in Paris. A fan, who jumped from a balcony in the audience, rushed the stage while she was singing the last song of the night and tried to steal a kiss, snatching her body and pulling her towards him before security came in.

After the incident, she tweeted:

“His intentions were good! But I was def caught off guard.”

“To the guy who ran on stage & stole a kiss, I LOVE YOU TOO. Didn’t appreciate how u were handled. But next time, enjoy from the audience ”

“I just learned that dude jumped from the 2nd story balcony for the task…ok, so maybe he was a lil crazy! Just jokes. I love my fans, yo!!!”

Considering how scary the situation seemed (watch for yourself!), she seems awfully understanding!

Keri Hilson is rumored to be a diva, in fact if you speak to some females they will tell you they hate her even though they don’t know her! Keri was involved in an altercation with her personal assistant after her assistant didn’t remove a store tag from the back of her harem pants which Keri wore during a performance. It is alleged by Page Six that Keri stormed off stage enraged! “Hilson lost it,” the source said. “She was screaming at her assistant for ‘not being able to do anything right.’ [She] railed that the assistant also forgot to ‘pack her eye drops and throat spray.’ ” Keri’s unidentified assistant didn’t back down though, she retorted Keri’s verbal assault saying “Oh, hell no, heiffer!”

Keri’s bodyguard and manager had to jump in between the two ladies before things got out of hand. Keri’s rep responded to the allegations saying “Keri did ask her assistant to bring her eye drops/throat spray as she was feeling under the weather, but there was no altercation. Keri has had the same road staff, from assistant to security, for a few years now.”

Aside from Keri’s rumored “divaness” was she right to press her assistant?

Keri Hilson was caught backstage in Vegas going in on her personal assistant so hard they had to be separated by security. According to Page Six, after performing her hits “Pretty Girl Rock,” “Turnin Me On” and “Knock You Down” to a crowd at Haze at the Aria Resort and Casino, Hilson came off stage and realized that her aide hadn’t removed a tag from the black harem pants she was wearing, spies said.

“Hilson lost it,” one source said. “She was screaming at her assistant for ‘not being able to do anything right.’ [She] railed that the assistant also forgot to ‘pack her eye drops and throat spray.’ ” The peon didn’t respond kindly, saying, “Oh, hell no!” and Hilson’s security guard and manager intervened before the pop star, touring with Lil Wayne, stormed off. Hilson’s rep told us, “Keri did ask her assistant to bring her eyedrops/throat spray as she was feeling under the weather, but there was no altercation. Keri has had the same road staff, from assistant to security, for a few years now.”

After the show, Hilson Tweeted, “Shout out to all the PARTY PEOPLE at HAZE tonight!!!! Much love to promoter, mgr & staff for takng great care!!”

Just in case you thought Ciara and Keri Hilson were the same person, let me clarify in this installment of Face 2 Face that they aren’t! The media have pit Ci Ci and “Miss Keri Baby” against one another because they are very similar artists, both women are talented and exceptionally beautiful. Goodies scored Ci Ci four Grammy nominations. Two years later Ciara reemerged with Ciara:The Evolution, which took the number one spot on The Billboard Charts. Ciara:The Evolution spawned her biggest hit to date “Promise.” Ciara has sold over seven million copies and had five number one singles!

Keri Hilson got her start as a songwriter for artists like Usher, Mary J Blige, Kelly Rowland, The Pussycat Dolls and more. In 2009 Keri tried her hand at her own music career with In An Perfect World. It debuted within the top five slot on the Billboard Charts. “Knock You Down” featuring Kanye West and “Turning Me On” helped In A Perfect World go certified gold. Keri Hilson is a part of the I Am Still Music tour along with Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Lloyd, Far East Movement and Porcelain Black. The tour’s latest stop was last night in West Palm Beach, Florida. Keri has been performing in what looks to me like a pink prison outfit with sparkles. Cute.

Keri’s badass look is completed with a bandana, studded gloves and combat boots. Throughout her performance, Keri unzips the prison suit and continues her performance in a white tank top. To top off her look, Keri’s microphone is in the shape of a gun and even holds it out to her audience as if she was going to shoot it. How nice.
