The news keeps getting worse for the EpiCentre. Developer Afshin Ghazi filed for bankruptcy protection trying to stall what developer Afshin Ghazi calls the “wrongful foreclosure” of his uptown entertainment hub, slated to be sold at public auction this fall, the Charlotte Observer reported.
Ghazi continues to reassure customers that these business proceedings won’t affect services at the center, but it does make us wonder about CIAA 2011. The EpiCentre is now a central location for CIAA

The CIAA released its official photos on Facebook today. I found a link on the page to an April story by the Charlotte Post about the tournament’s economic impact. This story hasn’t been widely reported so I wanted to share it with the My92.7 family.
This year, the tournament brought in $37.1 million, slightly trailing last year’s $38.2 million, according to the Post’s story.
