Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment this morning according to news reports. Scotland Yard is investigating the 27-year-old’s unexplained death. They told TMZ that thus far there are no signs of foul play. However, this afternoon SkyNews reported that sources said the singer died of a drug overdose.

BREAKING – Sources have confirmed to me that it’s believed Amy Winehouse died from a drugs overdose.
Those details have not been confirmed. TMZ says an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Winehouse’s battle with addiction has been well documented in the press. She most recently checked in and out of a rehab in May.
According to TMZ, “Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. ”
